On Wednesday, a Rushville man turned himself in to law enforcement on an active arrest warrant issued out of the Potter Town Court.

William Rosato, 22, surrendered to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office. He was taken into custody and held awaiting the next session of the Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) Court.

Rosato faces charges of two counts of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, both of which are class D felonies in New York State. The warrant was issued after he allegedly failed to appear in court regarding the original charges.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
