On Saturday, members of the Village of Bath Police Department responded to a residence on Charles Street at approximately 11:19 PM following a report of a male attempting to enter the home.

Upon arrival, officers determined the man was a resident of the location. During the investigation, police learned of a prior domestic incident that had allegedly occurred at the residence around 5:00 PM that evening. As a result, 43-year-old Kyle Krisher of Bath was placed under arrest.

Krisher was allegedly charged with one count of Assault in the Third Degree, a Class A misdemeanor, and one count of Harassment in the Second Degree, a violation. Authorities state that Krisher subsequently refused to cooperate during his arrest processing, leading to an additional charge of Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree, a Class A misdemeanor. He was transported to the Steuben County Jail for Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) arraignment, where he was initially released.

According to police, Krisher is a five-time convicted felon in the State of New York and is currently under the supervision of the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision. On Monday, Krisher was located and taken back into custody on a violation of parole warrant.

He currently remains incarcerated in the Steuben County Jail.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
