A Penn Yan woman is facing charges following a complaint regarding a disruptive individual at a local hotel.

Megan Turker, 37, was taken into custody after she was allegedly asked to leave the property by hotel staff due to ongoing issues. According to Penn Yan Police, Turker then intentionally caused significant damage to an elevator control panel, resulting in repair costs exceeding $1,500.

Turker was charged with Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree.

She was transported to the Yates County Jail to await central arraignment.
