On Monday, a Town of Penfield man was arrested by Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies following an investigation into a harassment complaint.

William J. Crombach, 56, of Fairport Nine Mile Point Road, was charged with Stalking and Aggravated Harassment. The charges stem from an incident on Sand Hill Road, where Crombach allegedly made phone threats to burn down a victim’s house while they were sleeping. He is also accused of calling the victim 47 times in less than a two-hour period.

Crombach was taken into custody and transported to the Wayne County Jail to await Centralized Arraignment.

He will answer the charges in the Town of Marion Court at a later date.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
