A Corning man was arrested on Friday following a report of an active out-of-state warrant.

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that deputies arrested Michael Trussell, 34, on June 26. It is alleged that Trussell is wanted by the State of Pennsylvania for failing to appear in court regarding the original charge of Strangulation.

Trussell was charged as a Fugitive From Justice.

Following his arrest, he was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and sent to the Steuben County Jail without bail to await extradition proceedings.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
