A Town of Lyons man was arrested following an investigation into a shoplifting incident at a local business.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports that Jonathan Tarver, 37, was arrested for one count of Petit Larceny. It is alleged that Tarver stole a can of raspberry Twisted Tea, a can of peach Twisted Tea, and a package of hot dogs from the Dollar General in the Town of Lyons.

Tarver was taken to the Wayne County Jail for processing and subsequently released on an appearance ticket.

He is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court on July 14 to answer the charge.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
