Montezuma Man Arrested on Weapon Charge

A Montezuma man was arrested on Tuesday morning following an incident in Cayuga County.

The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office reports that Andrew Smith, 36, was taken into custody at approximately 11:29 a.m. He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree by a Convicted Felon.

Following his arrest, Smith was processed and scheduled to answer the charge in Montezuma Town Court.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
