On June 9, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Lyons woman following an investigation into an incident in the Town of Junius.

Alisha Abbott, 38, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a Class A misdemeanor. Deputies allegedly found Abbott in possession of suspected cocaine during their investigation.

Following her arrest, Abbott was turned over to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office due to an outstanding warrant.

She was issued an appearance ticket for the drug charge and is scheduled to answer the accusation in town court at a later date.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
