On Friday, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Town of Lyons man following an investigation into a disturbance that occurred the day before.

Deputies arrested Thorne Dupont, 29, after it was alleged that during a neighbor dispute, he punched a wooden board used to barricade an unused doorway, causing damage to the structure. As a result, Dupont was charged with Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree.

Dupont was released on an appearance ticket and is expected to appear in Lyons Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
