On Thursday, a Canandaigua man was arrested following a larceny investigation that began earlier this month.

Deputies arrested Klon Reese, 29, of Canandaigua, at approximately 10:00 p.m. at his residence. The arrest stems from an incident on June 11 when deputies responded to a reported larceny at the Mobil Mart on Lakeshore Drive in the Town of Canandaigua. Reese had allegedly fled the scene before law enforcement arrived after stealing $17.98 in merchandise.

When deputies contacted Reese at his home on Thursday to place him under arrest, he allegedly resisted before being taken into custody. He was transported to the Ontario County Jail to be processed.

Reese has been charged with Petit Larceny, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree, and various vehicle and traffic law violations.

He was held at the jail to await centralized arraignment court.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
