Farmington Man Arrested On Multiple Contempt Charges

On Thursday afternoon, a Farmington man was taken into custody by Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies on an active arrest warrant.

Jeffrey Englehart, 35, was arrested at approximately 1:34 p.m. at 54 South Main Street in the Town of Manchester. The arrest warrant was issued by the Hopewell Town Court, accusing Englehart of three counts of Criminal Contempt in the First Degree. During the encounter with deputies, he was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest.

Englehart was transported to the Ontario County Jail to await centralized arraignment. Following his arraignment, he was held at the jail on $50,000 cash bail or a $100,000 bond.

Englehart is scheduled to appear in the Town of Hopewell Court at a later date to answer the contempt charges and in the Town of Manchester Court to answer the resisting arrest charge.
