On Thursday, Yates County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a 39-year-old Dundee man following a vehicle and traffic stop in the Town of Starkey.
Benjamin McMinn was pulled over on Preemption Road for an alleged traffic infraction. Upon further investigation, deputies discovered that McMinn’s driving privileges had been revoked in New York State. Authorities also allege that he was operating a vehicle without a required ignition interlock device.
McMinn was taken into custody without incident and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Second Degree, Operating a Motor Vehicle Without an Interlock Device, Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Operating an Uninspected Motor Vehicle, Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance, and Utilizing Improper License Plates.
He was transported to the Yates County Jail to await a centralized arraignment part (CAP) court session and will appear in the Town of Starkey Court at a later date to answer the charges.
