Canandaigua Man Facing DWAI Charges in Richmond

On Friday, a Canandaigua man was arrested on drug impairment charges following a traffic stop in the Town of Richmond.

Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 29-year-old Justin Reid at approximately 10:41 p.m. near the intersection of State Route 20A and Quayle Road. Deputies allegedly determined Reid was impaired by drugs following a series of standardized field sobriety tests.

Investigators found two children, ages three and nine, inside the vehicle at the time of the stop.

Reid was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a loud exhaust, and operating a vehicle with tinted windows.

Reid was issued uniform traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in Town of Richmond Court at a later date to answer the charges.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
