Brutus Man Arrested for Criminal Mischief

A Brutus man was arrested early Friday morning following an incident investigated by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrested Joshua Locust, 37, of Brutus, at approximately 3:00 a.m.  Locust was allegedly involved in an incident that resulted in a charge of Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree.

Following his arrest, Locust was processed and is scheduled to answer the charge in Weedsport Village Court at a later date.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
