The Village of Bath Police Department arrested a local resident following a welfare check that revealed multiple violations of a court order.

On Tuesday, officers responded to a welfare check and located 45-year-old Kenneth Mikko of Bath. Investigation revealed that Mikko had an active order of protection against him requiring him to refrain from contact with the protected parties. He was allegedly attempting to make contact with them at the time, and police discovered he had contacted them multiple other times over the course of three months.

Mikko was charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. He was processed and transported to the Steuben County Jail for Centralized Arraignment Part court, where he was remanded on $2,000 bail.

The Bath Police Department thanked the New York State Police for their assistance in the case.
