The Village of Newark has announced the hiring of David LaDuque as its new Code Enforcement Officer.
LaDuque, a Newark resident, brings a background in property management, construction, and fire service to the role. He is a graduate of Irondequoit High School and has experience in both commercial and residential construction. Village officials say his skill set makes him well-suited for the position.
Mayor Jonathan Taylor welcomed LaDuque to the role, citing his experience in the building trades.
“We are happy to welcome Dave to the position of Code Enforcement Officer,” Taylor said. “His background in the building trade makes him a perfect fit for this role.”
Code Officer Joe Vanni also praised LaDuque’s early contributions.
“Dave has brought a very bright personality to the office and is eager to learn his position,” Vanni said. “He is excited to affect change in the community to make it a safe and clean place to live.”
LaDuque lives in the village with his wife and family and said he looks forward to building connections within the community in his new role.
