Firefighters are battling a three-alarm house fire on State Route 364, near Deep Run Cove, in the town of Gorham.
The call initially came in to 911 dispatchers as an automatic alarm, but when the first units arrived on scene just after 9 a.m., they discovered a working house fire. Everyone inside the home safely evacuated.
At one point during the firefighting efforts, all units were told to evacuate the home. Firefighters also reported that the first floor of the home collapsed.
Crystal Beach, Rushville, Middlesex, Canandaigua, Stanley, Seneca Castle, Cheshire, Hopewell, Oaks Corners, and Gorham fire departments all responded to the scene.

Town of Gorham residents are advised to be aware of a major structure fire on State Route 364 near County Road 1. Motorists should expect possible road closures in the area.
Our thoughts are with the families affected. We hope they, along with the first responders, town employees, and everyone involved, remain safe.
