Former President Donald Trump has endorsed Congresswoman Claudia Tenney in her re-election bid for the 24th Congressional District. Mr. Trump made the announcement on his Truth Social account.
On X, Rep. Tenney said she was “honored to earn once again the endorsement of President Donald J. Trump. I fought alongside President Trump to secure the border, cut taxes, support our military, and fully fund our police. President Trump is a true champion for the people of New York’s 24th district and I look forward to serving with him to Save America.”
Rep. Tenney will again be challenged in a Republican primary for NY-24 in June. Geneva native Mario Fratto is seeking a rematch against Tenney, whom he lost to in 2022 after receiving approximately 40% of the vote. Tenney went on to defeat Democrat Steven Holden in the general election. A second Republican, retired Auburn pediatrician Phillip Gioia, is opening to gain enough signatures to appear on the June primary ballot.
