The Ontario County District Attorney’s Office is relocating from the Ontario County Courthouse to a new home in one of Canandaigua’s most recognizable historic buildings.
The office announced this week that it is moving to 32 North Main Street, the former United States Post Office and Federal Courthouse.
Officials said the move is currently underway, with staff unpacking offices and setting up workspaces. The District Attorney’s Office expects to be fully operational at the new location over the coming week but noted there could be temporary service interruptions during the transition.
Despite the change in location, the office said its phone numbers, staff, and commitment to serving Ontario County residents will remain the same.
The move marks a new chapter for the District Attorney’s Office while preserving its presence in downtown Canandaigua. Officials said they plan to share more information in the coming weeks about the building’s history and provide a behind-the-scenes look at the new office space as staff settles into its new home.
