A structure fire at a home in the Town of Marion remains under investigation, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched to 5195 Marion East Williamson Road at approximately 3:45 p.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, first responders observed heavy smoke coming from a split-level residence.
Firefighters were able to quickly contain and extinguish the blaze. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Assisting at the scene were the Marion Fire Department, East Williamson Fire Department, Williamson Fire Department, Wallington Fire Department, East Palmyra Fire Department, and Wayne County EMS.
