A former state-operated group home in Auburn has been sold at auction for $100,000.
The New York State Office of General Services confirmed on Thursday that Pavel Vinnik submitted the sole qualified bid for the property at 57 Arterial West during an auction Wednesday at Memorial City Hall.
The minimum bid for the property was $100,000.
Joe Brill, the Director for Public Information for New York State Office of General Services, stated that Vinnik plans to convert the 3,244-square-foot building into a rental property once the sale is finalized. The building has 10 rooms, including five bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms.
The Office of General Services, which manages state-owned properties, announced the auction in June.
Net proceeds from the sale will be deposited into the state Mental Health Services Fund.
