One person was injured Thursday morning in a crash involving two tractor-trailers at an intersection in the Cayuga County town of Locke.
The collision happened just before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street (State Route 38) and East Cayuga Street.
According to Locke Duty Chief Ray Dyer, the crash occurred when the driver of a tractor-trailer hauling an empty trailer eastbound on West Cayuga Street failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the intersection, colliding with another tractor-trailer hauling woodchips.
The driver who failed to stop was taken by ambulance to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver of the woodchip truck was not injured.
The intersection remained closed for several hours while emergency crews cleared the wreckage and cleaned up spilled diesel fuel.
The driver who caused the crash was issued traffic tickets.
