An early morning camper fire in the Town of Bloomfield was quickly brought under control Thursday, preventing major damage to a nearby home.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 4:22 a.m. to a reported fire involving a camper parked in the driveway of a residence on Main Street.
When firefighters from the East Bloomfield Fire Department arrived, they found the camper fully engulfed in flames. The fire was quickly extinguished, and officials said the nearby residence sustained only minor damage.
The East Bloomfield Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the Victor Fire Department and the Ontario County Fire Coordinators Office Fire Investigators.
Investigators determined the fire was caused by an electrical issue.
No injuries were reported.
