A Canandaigua woman is accused of failing to report income she earned through OnlyFans while receiving public assistance benefits.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Shameika Brown-Junious on Friday following an investigation prompted by a county Department of Social Services fraud referral.
Investigators allege Brown-Junious failed to disclose income earned by creating content on the website between January 2023 and June 2026. Authorities said she would have received $17,656.58 less in Temporary Assistance and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits if that income had been properly reported.
Brown-Junious was charged with seven counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, along with one count each of third-degree welfare fraud and third-degree grand larceny.
She was held for arraignment and is scheduled to answer the charges in Hopewell Town Court at a later date.
The charges are accusations, and Brown-Junious is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
