Boat Fire in Vine Valley Draws Multi-Agency Response

The Middlesex Hose Company reports it is back in service following an early morning boat fire in the Vine Valley area of Yates County.

In a social media post, the department announced that its crews have returned to service after responding to the incident, which occurred at around 5 a.m. Thursday.

The department thanked several agencies that assisted at the scene, including the Rushville Hose Company, Cheshire Fire Department, Canandaigua Professional Firefighters Local 2098, the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, Dresden Fire Department and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.

Officials have not released additional information about the cause of the fire, the extent of the damage, or whether any injuries were reported.
