AUBURN | Evelyn Ann Mizro, 85, of Owasco Street, Auburn passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at the Finger Lakes Center for Living. Mrs. Mizro was born in Auburn on June 20, 1927; she was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary Flynn French. Evelyn retired from Red Star. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was very proud of her Irish heritage. Evelyn is survived by her beloved children, Daniel (Liz) Mizro, Michael (Christine) Mizro, Loureen (Jim) Ferlenda, Barney (Sue) Mizro and Marcia Mizro; her daughter-in-law, Judy Mizro; her grandchildren, Christine Mizro, Sherri Wagner, Shawn and Daniel Mizro, Thomas and Michael Ferlenda and Nicholas Mizro and three great-grandchildren. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Barney Mizro in 1980; her son, Thomas Mizro in 1990, and her siblings, Earl, Pauline, Bernard, Agnes and Jack. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fleming. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Sacred Heart Church. Evelyn's family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to all the staff at Finger Lakes Center for Living for the outstanding care she received during her stay with them. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Evelyn A. Mizro may be made to either Hospice of the Finger Lakes, 1130 Corporate Drive, Auburn or the Finger Lakes Center for Living, 20 Park Ave., Auburn. Arrangements are with the White Chapel Funeral Home, Inc., 197 South St., Auburn.
