Don A Gearhart

Newark - Don A Gearhart, 65, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

Don Gearhart was born on June 12, 1960, in Everett, Washington, the son of the late Charles W. and Colleen (Wilcox) Gearhart. Following his graduation from high school, Don proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1977 until 1986. He spent more than twenty years working at Palmer Distributing.

Don enjoyed spending time on the golf course, watching sports, and cheering on the Seattle Seahawks. His passion for sports extended to nearly every level of competition, and he especially looked forward to watching the Little League World Series each year. Above all else, Don cherished spending time at home with his family and loved ones. Known for his quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and trademark sarcasm, Don could always bring a smile to those around him.

Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years, Deborah; his children, Danielle Gearhart, Kimberlee (Mamadou) Diallo, Don Gearhart Jr., and Jasmine O'Neil; and his grandchildren, Liam Stewart, Madelyne Stewart, Jaxson DeCook, Dakari Diallo, Gahdi Diallo, Ibrahim Diallo, Don Diallo, and Nadia Diallo; his brother-in-law, Jason Brown; and a nephew, Jayden Brown. He is also survived by a brother and sister, as well as many other nieces and nephews. Don was predeceased by two brothers.

The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark. All other services will remain private.
