On January 13, 2013 at around 6:53 PM 19 year old Alexis B Maltby and 18 year old Conley E Gayton both of Canandaigua were arrested for petit larceny and conspiracy in the 6th degree following an incident at the Walmart store in the Town of Hopewell. Loss prevention personnel observed the defendants stealing merchandise together, concealing items in their purses and passing all points of sale without paying for said items, which were valued at $1,44.99. The defendants were taken into custody without incident where they were issued appearance tickets for the charges to appear before the Hopewell Town Court at a later date.
