On Sunday, David Nesbitt, 86, of Canandaigua, was arrested on two counts of Harassment in the Second Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Menacing in the Second Degree following a reported disturbance on Wilcox Lane.
According to police, the incident began when Nesbitt allegedly attempted to force entry into a neighboring apartment. While officers were interviewing him about the disturbance, Nesbitt allegedly picked up a metal bicycle pump and struck an officer on the forearm.
Police report that he then resisted their attempts to place him into custody and began spitting on the officers.
Nesbitt was taken into custody and later released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in the City of Canandaigua Court at a later date.
