Southerly winds, which gusted through the afternoon, will continue to ease overnight. Lows will settle into the upper 40s to low 50s — Corning and Bath dipping closest to 49°, the lakes moderating temps farther north. No frost concerns tonight, and no active alerts.
Wednesday is a different story. A widespread, soaking rain moves in during the afternoon and pushes through overnight. Plan accordingly if you have outdoor commitments.
Then comes the bigger headline: a sharp cooldown arrives for the end of the week. The NWS is already flagging frost potential by the weekend, with a few snowflakes possible on higher terrain. Worth watching closely as we head toward May.
