Enjoy what’s left of this pleasant Friday evening — a surface low pressing southeast out of Michigan will drag rain into the Finger Lakes late tonight, and showers look to linger through much of Saturday. The NWS Buffalo office is flagging precipitable water values near an inch to an inch and a quarter moving through, meaning some of those showers could be briefly heavy. Embedded thunderstorms are possible, though nothing severe is expected.
Lows tonight will drop into the low-to-mid 40s across most of the region — Bath may dip to near 39° — but with clouds thickening and rain arriving, frost is not a concern. No NWS alerts are currently active.
Saturday will be a wet one. Keep the umbrella handy and expect on-and-off showers through the day, with the corridor south of the lake likely seeing the most efficient rainfall totals.
