The National Weather Service issued a Special Weather Statement this afternoon covering Tompkins and Chemung counties, expiring at 4 AM Thursday — cover or bring in any frost-sensitive plantings tonight.
Thursday itself looks pleasant: dry conditions hold through the day as a warm front lifts across the region ahead of approaching frontal system. Expect seasonable temperatures with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies.
