Steuben County Man Charged With Weapon Possession in Dansville

Stephen Simonowicz, 71, of Dansville, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and criminal possession of a firearm by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office on April 15.

Simonowicz was allegedly using methamphetamine and displaying a pistol. He allegedly possessed a firearm after a previous conviction for a crime.

Simonowicz was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and released.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
