A Penn Yan man faces a drug charge following an ongoing investigation by the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.

Larry Enos, 55, was arrested Thursday morning at the Yates County Public Safety Building. Deputies charged him with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.

The charge stems from an investigation into a prior warrant arrest involving Enos that occurred on June 24 in the Village of Penn Yan. Authorities allege that during the initial encounter, Enos was found in possession of a white crystallized substance. Subsequent laboratory analysis confirmed the substance tested positive for crack cocaine.

Enos was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charge in the Town of Milo Court at a later date.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
