On Friday, officers with the Canandaigua Police Department arrested a Palmyra resident following a trespassing complaint at a local hotel.

Baily Blankenship, 18, was arrested at approximately 3 a.m. on July 10. She was allegedly charged with third-degree criminal trespass. According to police, Blankenship was part of a group that jumped a fence to swim in a hotel pool on South Main Street. Blankenship, who was not a guest at the property, allegedly became verbally argumentative with staff when confronted.

Blankenship was processed and later released on an appearance ticket.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
