On Saturday, a Village of Palmyra man was arrested by Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies following a traffic stop in Palmyra.
Deputies arrested 26-year-old Donavin Bruni at approximately 3:00 a.m. Bruni was stopped after he allegedly failed to stop prior to a clearly marked stop line and at a steady stop signal. Upon further investigation, deputies determined Bruni was operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Bruni was taken into custody and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, where he voluntarily submitted to a chemical test that revealed a blood alcohol content of .13%.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content over .08%, and failure to stop at a stop line or steady stop signal.
Bruni was issued appearance tickets and released to appear in Village of Palmyra Court at a later date to answer the charges.
