Driver Ticketed Following Two-Car Accident in Milo

Three people were injured early Sunday morning following a one-car crash in the Town of Milo.

According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred around 12:22 a.m. at the intersection of Havens Corners Road and Thistle Street.

An investigation determined that the driver, 65-year-old Brenda Hodge of Penn Yan, failed to stop at a stop sign, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and strike an earth embankment.ย  Hodge and a passenger, 58-year-old Sandra Shriver of Penn Yan, were transported to Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Another passenger, 63-year-old Steven Hicks of Penn Yan, was taken to Geneva General Hospital, also with non-life-threatening injuries.

Hodge was issued a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign.
