The Keuka College Men’s Lacrosse team lost on the road on Saturday at Lycoming College 23-7 in a non-conference game.
Harrison Root (Jefferson, N.J. / Jefferson Township) led Keuka College (1-2) with four goals on the afternoon.
The Warriors took control of the game early, outscoring the Wolves 11-0 in the first quarter.
Keuka responded with back-to-back goals from Harrison Root to start the second quarter. Mitchell Wise (Greece, N.Y. / Hilton) followed with a tally. Lycoming got one late, but Keuka outscored the Warriors 3-1 in the frame. Lycoming remained ahead 12-3 at the half.
Aiden Nice (Palmyra, N.Y. / Palmyra-Macedon) scored the first goal of the second half but Lycoming answered back with six straight. Root scored the final two goals of the third with Kaleb Glessing (Ontario, N.Y. / Wayne) getting the assists.
Lycoming scored five in a row to start the fourth quarter. Ryan Bewlay (Lockport, N.Y. / Lockport) scored the first of his career in the final minutes, but the Wolves lost on Saturday 23-7.
