Yates County Joins Statewide Summer STOP-DWI Campaign

SHARE NOW

The Yates County Sheriff’s Office is joining a statewide push to crack down on impaired driving as part of the New York State STOP-DWI “100 Days of Summer” campaign.

Through the end of August, local law enforcement will step up patrols, sobriety checkpoints, and public education efforts aimed at preventing impaired driving crashes and saving lives.

The initiative, running weekends through the summer, includes coordinated efforts with STOP-DWI programs across New York to raise awareness and promote safe driving. Officials say the goal is to reduce injuries and keep roads safer during one of the busiest travel seasons of the year.
