Committee members voted unanimously Wednesday to endorse James Harris for the Republican line in the race to fill the remainder of a term on the Milo Town Council.

The committee also endorsed Steve Brigham for Barrington Town Supervisor and Penny Coon for Barrington Town Council. Both candidates are seeking to complete unexpired terms.

The committee’s endorsed state and federal candidates include:

  • Todd Hood for lieutenant governor
  • Joseph Hernandez for state comptroller
  • Saritha Komatireddy for attorney general
  • Tom O’Mara for state Senate
  • Phil Palmesano for state Assembly
  • Claudia Tenney for Congress

Committee members also discussed voter turnout, which they said can range from 20% to 60% in Yates County depending on the election.

The committee’s Patriot Party celebrating America’s 250th anniversary will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. August 5 at CK Cellars at Torrey Ridge on Route 14. Tickets cost $50 and may be purchased online.

The committee’s annual dinner gala is scheduled for October 16 at Seasons on Keuka Lake. Tickets are expected to go on sale in August.
