A months-long investigation into a home invasion in Macedon has resulted in the arrests of a Rochester woman and a juvenile.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said the home invasion occurred October 4, 2024, at a residence on State Route 31F. Deputies did not release additional details about the incident or identify the juvenile.
Thirty-seven-year-old Giselle Gonzalez-Vasquez was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of second-degree hindering prosecution. She was issued an appearance ticket directing her to appear in Wayne County Court at a later date.
The juvenile was charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, first-degree assault and second-degree kidnapping. Following an arraignment in Wayne County Court, the juvenile was placed in a secure detention facility.
The New York State Police, Rochester Police Department, Macedon Police Department and Wayne County District Attorney’s Office assisted the Sheriff’s Office with the investigation, which remains active.
The charges are accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
