Trumansburg Family Medicine will officially become part of Cayuga Health on August 3, marking a new chapter for the longtime primary care practice while maintaining the providers and services patients have come to know.
As part of the transition, the practice will operate under two new names: Cayuga Primary Care Trumansburg and Cayuga Primary Care East Hill Plaza.
Practice officials said the partnership is intended to preserve locally focused, patient-centered care while expanding the resources and support available through Cayuga Health.
Patients will continue seeing the same providers at the same office locations, and the practice’s existing phone and fax numbers will remain unchanged.
The practice’s Medent patient portal will continue to be used for communication with primary care providers. Patients who also use MyChart through Cayuga Health will continue using that platform to communicate with other Cayuga Health providers.
As part of the integration, patient medical records will become part of the Cayuga Health system, a move officials say will improve coordination of care and provide a more seamless experience across the health system.
In a statement, the practice said it is grateful for the opportunity to have cared for generations of families in the community and looks forward to continuing that tradition as part of Cayuga Health.
