Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning after one of the drivers allegedly ran a stop sign at a residential intersection in Auburn.

The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Garrow and Clymer streets.

According to Auburn Police Lieutenant David Walters, a vehicle traveling on Garrow Street failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a westbound vehicle on Clymer Street. Police issued the driver a ticket for failing to stop at the sign.

Emergency responders transported three people to local hospitals. Auburn Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief Matthew Pysnack told The Citizen he did not have information on the extent of the injuries Thursday afternoon.

One of the vehicles overturned and came to rest against a utility pole, while the other appeared to have struck a nearby house. Debris from the crash was scattered throughout the area.

The incident remains under investigation.
