F.F. Thompson Hospital has once again earned national recognition, being named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2026 list of “100 Great Community Hospitals.”

The Chicago-based healthcare industry publication selects hospitals for the annual list based on editorial research, nominations and insights from respected hospital rankings and performance ratings. Becker’s notes that hospitals cannot pay to be included on the list.

This marks the third time Thompson Hospital has received the honor, having previously been recognized in 2023 and 2025.

According to Becker’s Hospital Review, F.F. Thompson Hospital is the only hospital in New York State to make the 2026 list.

The annual recognition highlights community hospitals across the country that are known for providing high-quality patient care, expanding access to healthcare services, and serving as leaders in their communities.

F.F. Thompson Hospital, part of University of Rochester Medicine Thompson Health, is based in Canandaigua and serves patients throughout the Finger Lakes region.
