The Steuben County Legislature will consider several grant awards supporting public safety and infrastructure improvements during its monthly meeting Monday in Bath.
Legislators will review state funding for emergency management and homeland security programs, including the Emergency Management Performance Grant, State Homeland Security Grant and Statewide Interoperable Communications Grant.
The Legislature will also consider accepting a state Department of Transportation Roadway Departure Safety Action Plan Grant. The funding would help the county Department of Public Works replace guiderails along approximately 20 miles of roadway.
Other items on the agenda include proposed local laws, personnel and administrative matters, planning initiatives, an agricultural district review and tourism promotion.
The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, July 27, in the Legislative Chambers of the Steuben County Annex Building in Bath. The meeting is open to the public.
