Rochester Regional Health has appointed Dr. Leslie Wong as its first Chief Clinical Officer, effective March 23. Wong, MD, MBA, FACP, FASN, also serves as Executive Vice President in the newly created role, which is designed to strengthen systemwide coordination, quality, and patient outcomes.

As Chief Clinical Officer, Wong will oversee clinical practice across Rochester Regional Health, including the provider enterprise, the Clinically Integrated Network (GRIPA), and Graduate Medical Education.

“Dr. Wong is a highly respected leader with a deep understanding of our system and a strong commitment to clinical excellence,” said CEO Richard Davis. “We are confident in his ability to build on Dr. Mayo’s legacy and lead our clinical teams into the future.”

Wong joined Rochester Regional Health in 2024 as Executive Medical Director for the Medicine Service Line, where he advanced clinical integration and systemwide strategy. A nationally recognized nephrologist, Wong brings extensive experience in clinical leadership, value-based care, and building high-performing teams.

The leadership transition positions Rochester Regional Health to continue meeting the evolving needs of the communities it serves.
