A bridge replacement project in Yates County has wrapped up ahead of schedule, allowing a key roadway in the hamlet of Bellona to reopen.
County officials announced that the bridge on Pre-Emption Road (County Route 15) is now open to all traffic. The bridge, located near the Bellona Firehouse, closed in March for a rehabilitation project that also shut down a section of Pre-Emption Road between Toomey Road and Earls Hill Road (County Route 6).
With construction now complete, motorists can once again travel the full length of Pre-Emption Road through Bellona.
