Paving Project to Cause Delays on Route 31F in Macedon

Construction worker with hard hat, "SLOW" sign, and stop hand signal directs traffic in a road work zone.

Motorists traveling through Wayne County should expect delays next week as a state highway paving project gets underway in the Town of Macedon.

The New York State Department of Transportation announced that State Route 31F will be reduced to a single lane between the Monroe-Wayne County line and State Route 31 through July 17.  Traffic will be controlled by flagging personnel while crews complete pavement work. Construction is scheduled to take place weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Drivers are advised to expect travel delays and consider using alternate routes if possible while the work is underway.
