A new community marketplace is set to open in downtown Auburn this weekend.
The Pantry Market has announced it will hold a grand opening on Sunday at the Atrium on Genesee at 115 Genesee St. Organizers said the opening will run from 11:00a-3:00p and begin with a ribbon cutting at 11:00a.
Owner Erinn Locastro said the market will feature locally made products, fresh food, and hometown gifts with the aim of supporting local entrepreneurs while providing shoppers with a unique destination.
“What inspired me to create The Pantry Market was my friends and family,” said owner Erinn Locastro. “I have friends who own incredible small businesses, and they spend countless weekends and holidays sitting at vendor events just to get their products in front of people. I kept thinking there had to be a better way—a permanent place where customers could shop local while allowing vendors to spend more quality time with their families.”
Locastro added that, in the future, the market intends to introduce custom gift baskets for a variety of events such as birthdays, holidays, and housewarmings. The baskets will feature a curated collection of products from local vendors.
“This business is truly a labor of love, and I hope it becomes a place our entire community is proud to call its own. I believe The Pantry Market will be a wonderful asset to Auburn and the surrounding communities by making it easier to shop locally, support small businesses, and discover products made right here in our region.”
After the grand opening, the Pantry Market will be open during the summer, Wednesday-Friday from 10:00a-6:00p, Saturday from 10:00a-4:00p, and Sunday from 10:00a-2:00p.
