Visitors passing through Clyde now have a new photo opportunity waiting for them at the village’s Welcome Center.

Community leaders recently unveiled a new “Be the Y in Clyde” sign, giving residents and travelers a fun and interactive way to show their community spirit while promoting the village as a destination along the Erie Canal corridor.

The sign was installed at the Clyde Welcome Center and is designed to encourage visitors to stop, take a photo, and literally become the letter “Y” in the village’s name.

Local officials described the installation as a new way to welcome visitors and showcase community pride. The attraction is expected to appeal to travelers using the Erie Canal Trail as well as tourists exploring Wayne County.

The Welcome Center serves as a gateway for visitors to learn more about Clyde and the surrounding region. Officials are encouraging residents and tourists alike to stop by, snap a picture, and share their experience while visiting the village.

The new sign is the latest effort to enhance the visitor experience and highlight Clyde as a destination along one of New York’s most popular recreational and historic travel routes.
